“My mother believed that a true designer can make new clothes from the old. This statement stayed with me forever. Transforming and wearing her sarees has been a beautiful way of always feeling connected with her. Roop is a pure passion project, dedicated to my mother and connecting people to their loved souls via clothing.” ~ Priyanka Raajiv
Inspired by her mother's conviction that Roop (Hindi: form) can change, and beauty remains forever, Priyanka Raajiv started to conserve heirlooms. As a garment memory project, this initiative is a celebration of craftsmanship, a nod to the past, and a dedication to sustainability.
We're conserving a legacy and memories of loved ones as we repurpose the faded splendour of heirlooms.
Every stitch and adornment holds a narrative.
The rehabilitation focuses on touching up old embroidery work, tears, stitches, and other detailing, restoring each one’s wearability and resilience along with uplifting with new fabrics and embroideries wherever required. Vintage garments having sentimental value are also repurposed into new wearable pieces
You are invited to embark on a journey of sustainability while cherishing the memories of your loved ones.
